Recalls and technical service bulletins are useful and hard to find. Each car's page now has a Recalls & bulletins section with the NHTSA safety recalls and manufacturer bulletins published for its year, make and model, grouped by the action each one calls for.
A new car is checked as soon as you add it. Each recall covers a range of VINs, so it may not apply to your car. If one does not, or you have had the work done, tap Doesn't apply or I've had this done, and it moves to Handled by you.
