Scan a VIN with your phone's camera

Point your camera at the VIN barcode in the door jamb, and the new car form reads it and asks you to confirm it before decoding.

A VIN is 17 characters, and several of them look alike on a phone keyboard. On the new car form, pick VIN, tap Scan and point your camera at the barcode on the label in the driver's door jamb.

The scanner reads the code and shows the VIN with the question "Does this match the label?" Tap Use this VIN to decode it, Scan again to retry, or Edit by hand to correct a character.
